The Australian Ambassador to Cairo Offers Condolences to Egypt's Mufti over the Victims of Al-Rawda Mosque

The Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawki Allam, received the Australian ambassador to Egypt, Mr. Neil Hawkins, who offered his deepest condolences over the victims of al-Rawda mosque in North Sinai's bloodiest terror attack.

Mr. Hawkins confirmed that Australia's government fully supports the Egyptian state and people in their war against terrorism. "Our country is ready to offer all forms of support and cooperation to help Egypt pursue its efforts to combat terrorism which has become a global threat," the Australian ambassador said.

On Friday, November 24, 2017, a terrorist attack targeted al-Rawda mosque in North Sinai during Friday prayer, leaving 305 persons dead and scores others wounded.
