Egypt’s Grand Mufti Leaves for New York, Gives Key Speech in American-Muslim Relations Conference

The Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawki Allam, left for the United States of America on Wednesday morning to participate in the international conference on “Civilizational Communication between the United States of America and the Muslim World”. The conference will last for two days from 4-5 October in New York, organized by the Muslim World League, and will discuss a number of themes relevant to common civilizational and humanistic traits.

A distinguished group of academics and researchers from all around the world will participate in the conference and Dr. Allam will give the key speech.

From his part, the Senior Advisor to the Grand Mufti, Dr. Ibrahim Negm, who is accompanying the Mufti to New York, stated that the conference aims at fostering the US-Arab relations and opens the door for mutual cooperation to combat hate speech, Islamophobia, terrorism and extremist ideologies.
